Gary Keane is not just a Composer, but also a dab hand at Music Producing, Mixing, Songwriting, Musical Direction – plus a father, a dog dad, a groove enthusiast, a hype-man, audio nerd, fellow human, trusted confidant and collaborator to some of the most incredibly talented artists and companies today.

15 years of working with acts such Stephanie Rainey, Hermitage Green, Pa Sheehy (Walking On Cars) and Robert Grace has seen Gary garner two Irish No.1 Singles, 15 million Spotify streams, and become trusted by companies such as Warner, Sony, RCA, EMI and EastWest.

Obsessed with all things audio, Gary has widened his scope beyond his love of Music Production into the Video Game world, joining the audio team for ‘Empire Of Sin‘ (2021) created by DOOM mastermind John Romero. As of 2023, Gary has been called into the TV/Film world, writing the Theme Tune and the full score for the new Animated Kids Show – FLIX for RTE. Gary is also chief Sound Mixer for a myriad of TV documentaries including ‘Irelands Greatest Loves’ and ‘Epidéim’ for TG4, ‘Widows Of The Revolution’ for RTÉ, as well as ‘My Lost Russian Mother’ which premiers at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh.

Aside from all this, Gary is a person obsessed with music technology, sampling, old funk records, workflows, productivity, plants, weird instruments, vibey lighting, and chocolate biscuits. His appetite for learning saw him being mentored by Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Adele) and Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith); eventually moving to London in 2019 to study a Master’s Degree in Music Production at the prestigious Tileyard Education. It was here that Gary’s talents were noticed by Spitfire Audio and Yamaha, both of which awarded him educational Bursaries, making Gary the first student to win 2 such awards in a year.

Open, approachable and always working, you’ll find Gary sat at his desk, surrounded by instruments in his brand-new, purpose-built studio in Cork, cup of tea in hand and doggie (Freddie) at his side, doing what he loves best.
