This Belfast band is set to show everyone just how one does Garage Punk. Through the punk beats, that propel each of the tracks, there are definite shimmers of indie pop and other more house-trained musical manners, nevertheless the engine remains brooding and hard-edged throughout. With Shannon Delores at the helm, this punk, riot girl, ship is steering a steady course through the rocky world, and if it is your cup of tea, you’ll be in for a ride.

Being true to her passion Shannon has been instrumental in founding Girls Rock School in Northern Ireland, a non-profit organisation that aims to empower female identifying musicians to get more involved in the music scene and in music in general. As Girls Rock Schools are to be found all over the place, Shannon recently was over in California to help teach at the Santa Barbara arm, where the video below was also filmed.

With such a passionate soul in charge there’s plenty more to come from this tour de punk force for sure.

In a nutshell: This music drives, fast and furious, rips the doors off and rams empowerment right up the vein with a quiet but take-no-shit female voice.

“echoes of Sonic Youth, early nineties discord stuff…classic indie rock with no mucking about.” (BBC)
