This Cork band manages to catch a wide variety of vibes in their net, from The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, The Killers, Coldplay, Villagers, Fleet Foxes, to, when slowing down Rufus Wainright, and when intense, Radiohead or Nirvana, and, always, especially when in BIG mode, issuing a definite stadium sound. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Now a trio of multi-instrumentalists, the lads of Rowan; that is Dylan Howe, Fionn Hennessy Hayes and Kevin Herron, previously, and separately, have worked with world renowned artists such as Ariel Posen, The Stunning, Little Hours, The Frank and Walters, Toucan and many others. However, their focus is now on their own output, and we’re very thankful for this, as was the ‘Colin Vearncombe’ Songwriting Award that Rowan was lauded with for their debut EP “Alseep in the Rain”.
Full of the harmonies of life and living, Rowan will demand your attention from the get-go and keep you there.
Rowan’s harmoniously rich compositions are laden with melodies that bring the listener to a familiar place with a tasteful twist of their own nature.
