This quintet from Limerick delivers music from the dark side, but without weighing you down, thanks to a focus on melody and dedication to detail. All this is delivered by Ronan Mitchell, Morgan Nolan, Shane Serrano, Kieran J. Sims and Manolis Pates: guys that have stayed together for a long time perfecting their stadium appeal, rather than switching bands and aiming for more instant gratifications, as many of today’s musicians are bound to, or forced to, by the current needs of the musical machinery, or indeed ego of course. Anyways, theses fired up lads of Fox Jaw instead have their focus on bringing largeness and a cinematic feel as they swagger unto a smoke filled neon lit imagined musical stage. Once on stage the stories take over, and although definitely Irish, these are grand in scale and scope, roping you in with the hooks and the devious crooks foretold.
On the real stage Fox Jaw have shared it with such acts as: Against Me!, Steriogram, And So I Watch You from Afar, Alabama 3, The Redneck Manifesto, Jape, Hayseed Dixie, Hermitage Green, and, bizarrely once…. Calvin Harris.
Think: Interpol, Editors, the Black Keys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
