We’re delighted to share with you the debut album release of The Cinderella Philips. By chance this album is dedicated to a deceased friend of the band’s, Ross, a lover of lighthouses, hence the album cover art which was hand-stitched by Eva O’Hare, and as such follows serendipitously on from our previous album release news by ADT.
The Cinderella Philips are James Lonergan & Phil Noone. James and Phil met in a previous band called Synk, and have kept in contact and played together for years after since, but not until now did they come to the decision to make it something official. The reason for this was the above mentioned friend’s death, at the age of only 29, which they originally set out to honour with a track, which then morphed into a new band and a whole album.
This music is all about submerging yourself in the auditory universe created, and letting it all wash over and into you, although the lyrics and vocals are important (and gorgeous), they do not take centre stage all the time. The tides swell, whisper and sigh. Life is complicated, but full of wonders, dive in.
