House of Waves (aka Rocstrong)

Funk, Pop, Hip Hop, Blues, Rock

House of Waves is the collective composer name for the Andre Bangala and Keith O’Reilly. With music in their blood, these Irish musicians write and co-produce all their songs together.

Andre is better known as the artist Rocstrong, who’s unique sound covers multiple genres, ranging from Rock/Funk, to Indie/Rock and Alternative Electro Pop.

This Congo-born, South Dublin artist began writing music from a very young age. After spending years to discover his unique style and sound, he cites great musicians like Prince, James Brown, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson as his main influences.

His first single ‘Go ‘Head’, described as “a multi-faceted effervescent spark that is simply not present in much of Irish Music” (Nialler9) received lots of praises at home and abroad.  The song became the lead soundtrack for the Coen Brothers’ blockbuster “Hail Caesar”.

His second release ‘Limits’ received positive reviews and considerable radio plays across Ireland, building on the success of the first single. The track has been described as an “Infused song with a myriad of vibrant rhythm, syncopated beats and reggae influenced melody, ‘Limits’ grooves and swaggers with confident percussion and joyously up-tempo production” (TLMT).

Rocstrong was crowned the breakthrough artist of the year in 2014.
