This is folk music running its tendrils across the eternal sky of sound finding the necessary cracks and protuberances to climb higher and higher yet. Twangy, and crammed with feel good vibes; even in the more somber parts, these guys are sure to lift moods and make the sun come out, even if you do live in Ireland itself.

At the songwriting helm you’ll find Anthony Furey, whose vocals charm and bind it all together so sweetly, along with Paul Butler and Tony McLoughlin. But for live performances and the heavy touring that they do; they just finished a lengthy Australian tour, they are helped out by Alex Borwick and Patrick Hopkins. The band released their debut album The Little Battle in 2014, and last year followed it up with the studio album First Sign of Morning to the delight of their fan base.

Owing something to other folky brothers-in-arms such as The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons, The Young Folk additionally offer the charm and story telling skills of The Go-Betweens, as well as harmonizing of the Fleet Foxes ilk.
