Casey Chandler aka Galapaghost is a busy busy man from Woodstock, NY. He has five charming albums to his name to date, all of which, are available from AMP. Depending on the album you decide to start peruse you will find anything between melancholy to joy, but always with a tenderness akin to Sufjan Stevens or Echo and the Bunnymen, although the most recent album feeds us similarities to the universes brought on by the like of Bon Iver, Sigur Ros, LCD Soundsystem, and Gorillaz etc.. And no stranger to fraternising with the big names and hot spots Casey has toured Europe and North America with John Grant in 2010, and on that tour played a prestigious slot on Later… with Jools Holland.
“The melodies are lustrous and expansive, while the rhythms ache with splendid muted buffeting. Chandler’s voice is easy to listen to and rife with velvety sonority.” (Blogcritics on the album Pulse)
Amongst other things Galapaghost has provided a bespoke track as the title track for the film Il Ragazzo Invisibile by the Oscar winning director Gabriele Salvatores. His music also featured in a Netflix promo for 13 Reasons Why (Italy).
Casey now lives in Austin, Texas.
