Budapest based pop project Belau might already have reached your ears via syncs with shows and brands like HBO, Pepsi, and Telenor, or indeed, if you were one of the lucky ones that attended festivals like Primavera, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn, Electric Castle, Sziget, or SXSW, just before we all got locked up in our homes.
Prolific in making music that shines and shimmers, and makes you find your inner balance with a near tropical sway (making for great instrumentals for this purpose too – heads up sync’ers out there), Belau is lead by Péter Kedves, and was indeed a solo project for quite sometime, although nowadays Péter is working with Krisztian Buza as a duo, and the two are very likely to rope in other great talents to gild their mix. Most recently they teamed up with Amahla (see below). More music is percolating as we speak. Expect this coming year to bring us even more delights of the chillwave kind from these busy lads and their friends. Party on!
